Trivia

Eliot's line after the gunfight, "I don't [like guns]. Never said I couldn't use 'em.", is awfully close to Tom Selleck's line, as Matthew Quigley, in 1990's Quigley Down Under (1990): "I said I never had much use for [a pistol]. Never said I didn't know how to use it."
There is a reference to a small European country named San Lorenzo in the end of the episode. In real life there is no such country in Europe.

Nate's alias, "Lionel Whitney," is the same name as Jeff Goldblum's character from the TV series Tenspeed and Brown Shoe (1980)

Spoilers

The trivia item below may give away important plot points.

Eliot kills several of Moreau's team. While it has been previously established (and re-affirmed in this episode) that he has killed in the past, this is one of only two times where he does so on camera-- the other being Leverage: The Homecoming Job (2008)-- and the only time where he kills someone as part of a job for the Leverage team.
