Storyline

An intercepted Arabic e-mail, presumably to Al-Qaeda, from US-born Khalid Hassan, Muslim convert name of Steve Haas, son of a Jemeni immigrant, and ingredients found in his home suggest he planted a large bomb with nails somewhere in Manhattan. Even Jamie and his mentor, who shows him silly advertising suits make ideal crime covers, are kept in the dark as Frank convinces the mayor not to risk a panic by going public without specific information. Danny once helped Steve as terrified abuse victim but can't trough to him and suspects discrimination drove him to extremism. The key is provided by his family, as the ex of his brother, economics academic Adam Hassan, is detected by a 'random' roadblock, driving with their 9 year-old son Jacob. Written by KGF Vissers

Blue Bloods Shows it Mettle & True Grit 1.5 ****
23 October 2010 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This show is fast becoming a season's sensation. This episode was totally appropriate to today's living in a society where the preoccupation with terrorism is constantly in our thoughts.

Naturally, Danny's wife and 2 children decide to spend a Saturday in a N.Y. Park and a threat comes in that a bomb will be detonated by some terrorist.

Danny's dad, our Commissioner Frank Reagan, Tom Selleck, plays it cool all the way by not announcing what is occurring at first so as to avoid widespread panic.

Danny, Mark Wahlberg, readily proves once more that he is the real star of this amazing show. His sorting out of details to find the bomber and his cool while dealing with the culprit makes this another excellent episode to view.
