Storyline

Kody Brown, with his four wives Meri, Janelle, Robyn and Christine and their combined 17 children, attempt to navigate life as a "normal" family in a society that shuns their lifestyle. From their unconventional family structure and living arrangements to financial challenges, each half hour episode exposes the inner workings of a polygamist household, revealing the unexpectedly tight-knit and loving relationships between Kody's wives. The series also captures the intense dynamics surrounding a man juggling three wives while attempting to keep it a secret from the outside world- but the general public is not the only challenge that the Brown family unit is facing. Poor "Big Love" substitute
9 October 2011 | by (Vermont, United States) – See all my reviews

I have watched two episodes. During the first one, I could not help but think some of the major themes of "Big Love," (minus the compound) were present and thought the show was just okay, not great. However, after viewing the next episode, I was annoyed and bored because it repeated roughly 60 percent of the prior episode. Soap operas do some repeating but this show takes this technique to a whole new level.

If you kind of liked "Sister Wives," you will really enjoy renting "Big Love." If you really liked "Sister Wives," then you should see a neurologist.

Sorry...
