Sgt. Gregory Parker: Whatever Jackie's motives were, whether she's working with us or against us, we have to assume Carson made her as a CI and her life is at risk.
Mike Scarlatti: There's no card skimming equipment in that building, there's no computer trail?
Det. Merry Danner: It's off site, we don't know where. Carson's mobile or very well cloaked.
Mike Scarlatti: How wide are your warrants?
Det. Merry Danner: Any and all electronic surveillance if that's what you mean.
Ed Lane: [Sees Spike thinking] What do you need here Spike?
Mike Scarlatti: Detective Danner it's your investigation, but give me a chance at the lawyer's laptop. I'll have to take it apart.
Det. Merry Danner: [Apprehensively] He's good right?
Sgt. Gregory Parker: He's the best.
Mike Scarlatti: [sees Ed staring intensely at a vending machine] Quite the standoff. You using intimidation tactics to make the food come out or are you waiting for backup before you go in?
Det. Merry Danner: [looking at the I.D. of a deceased victim] He's an associate of Carson's.
Sgt. Gregory Parker: How is he an associate?
Det. Merry Danner: We're not really sure.
Ed Lane: You're not sure? Like you weren't sure about the reliability of your CI or you weren't sure where Carson's base was? You jumped the bust here, Officer.
Sgt. Gregory Parker: You were hungry to get Griffin, I get that, but you put my people in the line of fire before you had the whole picture.
Ed Lane: You're gonna lose both cases - Griffin and Carson.
Det. Merry Danner: We can still get Carson.
Sgt. Gregory Parker: He's homicide's case now. Maybe they can make it stick.
Jackie Emery: [on phone] I just want this over.
Sgt. Gregory Parker: So do we, Jackie.
Jackie Emery: But it keeps going on and on and keeps getting worse.
Sgt. Gregory Parker: From now on, we can make it better.
Jackie Emery: If I don't make it, it doesn't matter.
Sgt. Gregory Parker: Oh, yes, it does. Yes, it does. Are you in danger right now? Jackie? Jackie.
[phone hangs up]
Sgt. Gregory Parker: Jules, check the vehicles! Spike, cut the engine! Wordy, hangar roof! You're Sierra!
Kevin 'Wordy' Wordsworth: I'm Sierra?
Sgt. Gregory Parker: Why'd you do this? Why do you keep helping him like this?
Jackie Emery: Everything I have, everything I am is because of him. I should never have sold him out.
Ed Lane: Put your hands up on the fence. Do it now! Come on, now, drop the gun.
Carson: Guess it's not the broken heart that kills ya, huh?
Ed Lane: Alex, you're a smart guy here, so take the long view - it is still life.
Carson: Not without her.
Sgt. Gregory Parker: Eddie, I got to ask you about what happened at the club. You hesitated at the door because you had a bad feeling or this thing at home leaking into work?
Ed Lane: That's why you put me on the perimeter.
Sgt. Gregory Parker: I'm glad I did.
Ed Lane: Okay, Greg, look. We did the best we could with the information we had. If I had had a bad feeling, I would've said something.
Sgt. Gregory Parker: Would you?
Ed Lane: I saw Sophie last night and she said that I have to choose.
Sgt. Gregory Parker: What do you mean?
Ed Lane: It's her, the kids, or it's the job. It's the job. And what am I supposed to do with that? What am I supposed to do?
