I like Stormy Daniels' work as actress and director but "Love in an Elevator" is an off-day. Weak cast and cornball premise add up to a Wicked loser.
I enjoy watching these videos because no matter how disappointing they represent actual entertainment, as opposed to the gonzo junk which supplanted them in recent years. This plays like a real movie, the minimum bar I've set for quality porn.
Kirsten Price, who has more recently excelled in lesbian projects, stars as the hapless heroine who en route to her engagement party is stuck interminably in her office building's elevator. Her accidental companion in the stalled lift is poorly played by Brendon Miller, an extremely unattractive XXX male who Stormy frequently casts but who leaves me cold. He is the Adult version of soft-core vet Brian Thompson, a pug ugly actor who has latterly reached a career peak (sadly) as the muscular star of those amusing TV commercials where he is striding frighteningly down the street after leaving his gym, only to squeal comically like a little girl at the lottery news.
The two stars trade stories about sexual encounters, which are illustrated for us as vignettes. It's a boring, crummy format, often used and dating all the way back to an early and more memorable Candy Samples porn film "The Elevator".
Kirsten's fiancé turns out to be a cad, the sparring duo of elevator-trapped confinement end up romantically connected in a contrived, predictable happy ending, and mechanical porn is stretched out to two hours. I'm not sure how many hundreds of potboilers like this Wicked produced in its heyday, but other than the ongoing stream of Stormy product these XXX versions of a rom-com or thriller are a thing of the past.
