Storyline

Whilst Mitchell confides in George his love for Annie the ghost herself is followed home by Sasha,a zombie or Type 4 supernatural being, stuck in limbo as a result of Mitchell's saving Annie.Annie and Mitchell learn that she has escaped from a morgue where zombies were being used in painful experiments. Though putrefying Sasha refuses to believe she is one of the undead until she freaks out her boyfriend so Annie gives her a make-over and a night on the town before she passes over. Mitchell has problems with Graham,an ageing Goth vampire who threatens to tell Annie about the train massacre and has to be silenced whilst Nina discovers that she and George are to have a 'little hairy baby'. A zombie in Barry Island!
6 February 2011 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

From the beginning this series has included vampires, werewolves and ghosts but now it is time to introduce another type of supernatural being; a zombie! It turns out that while Mitchell was rescuing Annie from purgatory the doorway to the afterlife was closed and anybody who died at that time is stuck in his or her old decaying body. One such person is Sasha, a young woman who follows Annie back to the house. At first she refuses to accept that she is dead and none of the household are keen to let her in but eventually they do and end up helping her. She isn't the only person to come into their lives; there is also a vampire called Graham who is a big fan of Mitchell's and is determined to become his friend whether Mitchell wants it or not. George also discovers that Nina is pregnant and the two of them must decide whether or not to keep the baby that was conceived while they were wolves.

This was another quality episode that managed to be rather poignant as two initially unsympathetic characters grew to a point where the viewer could care about what happens to them. While Sasha was referred to as a zombie she wasn't like most movie zombies in that she wasn't shuffling about looking for brains to eat! I rather liked the way her undeath was handled as it avoided the usual clichés. As usual the acting was good; both from the regular quartet and the guest actors. There wasn't much violence but the scene where Sasha visited her boyfriend managed to be a little grisly as well as quite funny.
