Storyline

Janet travels to Yorkshire with Leo where she identifies the murder of the fresh victim,Kelly Summers,as being a copycat of the Bentley killings, suggesting that Bentley had an accomplice still at large. This is confirmed when Sonia Hardwick, the investigating officer, finds a letter to Bentley from a boyfriend in the original file. A television crew visits the Fosters' farm house, where Carol's husband Bill snaps, attacking a journalist. He is arrested and interviewed by Sonia regarding his relationship with Karl Bentley. Between them Sonia and Leo deduce that Bentley had a male lover responsible for the unsolved murders and that that man is Bill Fisher. They are only partly right. Harry, meanwhile, has to baby-sit the teenage son of an irresponsible old college friend. Written by don @ minifie-1

Fantastic conclusion.
15 November 2015 | by (Swansea, United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

The murdered girl is identified as Kelly Summers, Assistant Chief Commissioner Maynard steps in, he'd been in charge of the Bentley case at the time of his conviction. Leo theorises that the killing is from an accomplice of Bentley, the M.O. is similar but not identical. Leo finally opens up to Janet, he tells her he's still not over the death of his wife and daughter. She accompanies him to his old family home in Sheffield, he shatters her when he gives her the news he doesn't want to adopt. Janet gives the Police a profile of the killer, and the hunt for the killer progresses. Bill attacks a journalist and is imprisoned, after making a statement he is grilled by DS Hardwick, Bentley opens up to Leo. A shocking revelation comes out.

A great conclusion, it's intelligent, gripping, well paced, amusing, what more could you want from a drama? The climax is superb, one of the most poignant from Silent Witness, big and dramatic, expertly acted by all involved.

Christine Tremarco showed us just how good an actress she was, and Jaye Griffiths really shone through, so impressed with her scenes with William Gaminara, her timing and sense of feeling was great to watch.

They once again broke the heavy tone with glimpses of humour, DS Balshaw's munching on cream horns was very funny, he was great.

I thought the sub story was really well done too, we saw more of Harry's personal life, Tom Ward is awesome!

Not much more to say other then brilliant. 9/10
