I just got to experience this film last week at the Global Peace Film Festival in Orlando. As someone who has lived a portion of my life outside of the US, I knew this fantasy image that many people in other countries have of the United States. It was fascinating to watch Hegedus on his journey to discover where this fantasy America has gone and if it even really ever existed.
I found the interviews conducted to be compelling. The different perspectives of America by different people, even people in his own family, was fascinating. I loved every minute of this film and am grateful to the festival for screening it.
