I'm really impressed how far these folks went to make this episode!

The wolverine is one of the rarest and most elusive mammals in North America. And, to make it worse, they inhabit the most cold and inhospitable places. So, the fact that this film was able to track so many of them in the wild shows to what great lengths they would go to make this episode. Sure, a few were animals in captivity but many showed folks trekking across frozen glaciers and the like looking for the critters. And, to make things worse, despite their small size, these are NOT the nicest creatures on the planet!! The documentary was exceptional and I sure learned a lot about the creatures. Learning how they often survive just by eating bones, how they can be NICE if hand-raised, that they are sociable in the wild, and how a crazy researching them is willing to crawl into possible wolverine dens!! Well constructed, fascinating and relatively unique, as few films are about the wolverine and this one seems to have more wolverine encounters than any other.
