The Bay (2012/II) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.
Visit our Parents Guide Help to learn more

Sex & Nudity

There are some references to sexual activities but nothing is shown.

Violence & Gore

The main theme of the movie is that parasites have gotten into the towns water supply and are enlarging due to the steroids dumped there from a chicken plant, and the parasites eat their way inside and outside if human flesh

Basically this entire movie is full of extremely graphic scenes that are not, not NOT!!! for weak stomachs.

Profanity

Strong graphic profanity (you can SEE profanity?!) both spoken and written throughout the movie

The movie takes place on July 4th so there are some background scenes of characters drinking and smoking but nothing illegal.

There are two cases of suicide (one offscreen and one onscreen) which may upset some people.
