For his first short, the director, Michael, did a great job. Stab Awake takes place in a remote cabin with a pretty entertaining cast. A killer soon makes his appearance, begins to terrorize the other occupants, and chaos ensues! For what it is, a horror short, I think it is an excellent beginning to what I believe to be a directing career that is full of potential. Being a fan of horror, I try to remain open to story lines. Too often we are thrown a bunch of expensive fx and no real story. In Stab Awake, the director pays attention to detail feeding us a supernatural tale of evil and death with a great punch line from time to time... The music is also entertaining. I am a fan and cannot wait to see what he comes up with next.
