The second movie ever to be shot and based in Sugar Land, Texas. The first was The Sugarland Express by Steven Spielberg, which was Spielberg's first feature-length theatrical film (as Action Man was Young's).
I couldn't disagree more with the first 2 reviews. I was at the screening in Houston with 2 of my friends. We all thought it was really funny. It obviously wasn't aimed at the demographic of a stodgy old reviewer. It was a great parody. I can see how they would have missed a lot of the contemporary references, but they must have been the only ones in the audience that weren't laughing almost constantly. I can agree with some of the technical issues such as sound at times. I attributed that to the very low budget they were working with. I hope they are working on something else. We would love to see it!! Action Man 2?
