• Forewoman : [the shift is over, but the workers overhear a conversation between the forewoman and the ministry]  I realise how urgent it is. But you can't expect these girls to work 14 hours at a stretch. They've been working overtime every day this week, and Sunday too. Well, thank goodness they won't have to do it much longer, with all these new girls we're getting in. Alright, I'll ask them.

  Irene : She doesn't have to ask us.

  Forewoman : A million bullets by the morning!

  Irene : Come on girls - it's got to be done!
