Storyline

A month before his 13th birthday, Jeremy Fink receives a mysterious wooden box in the mail with the words "The Meaning of Life-for Jeremy Fink to open on his 13th birthday." It has four locks, but the keys are lost. In order to find out what secrets lie within the box it's up to Jeremy and his best friend Lizzy to use their imaginations to search high and low throughout Manhattan for clues. Their adventure brings them from flea markets to corporate office buildings to science museums meeting wacky and interesting characters along the way. Each encounter unlocks a clue to bring them closer to finding out the contents of the box and ultimately discovering the greatest secret of them all! Based on the beloved book by Wendy Mass. Disappointing
4 June 2013 | by See all my reviews

The overall message of the movie was pretty good, but how this movie received at least a 6 star rating blows my mind. The plot of the movie could of been really good, but it was slow and the actors sucked. The little girl who played Lizzy, was really annoying and her character sucked even more. The little boy who played Jeremy fink was dull and brainless. Jeremy Fink's mother was a little odd, but she actually didn't bother me as much as the other actors. I seriously think everyone just needed more acting classes. Sorry, but it's true. The best part of the movie was the introduction with all the names. Very creative. I only hoped the movie was just as creative, but it wasn't. Moving on...
