I always like seeing stand-up comedy both live in the flesh and on TV, and this series certainly looked and sounded like my kind of thing. Basically Patrick Kielty, who hasn't done much stand-up comedy since becoming presenter of shows like Fame Academy, is the host. He brings together a bunch of comedians, whether rising, current or in some cases past, to give their amusing opinions of recent events in the news. The comedians that return week after week are Jack Whitehall discussing celebrity news, Kevin Bridges covering sports, Rich Hall talking about world news (politics mainly), and Andi Osho finding the funny stories appearing on the internet. Every week the show also invites a special guest to do their stand-up routines about whatever they want from their own material. Comedian guests included Brendon Burns, Mark Watson, Micky Flanagan, Tom Stade, Stephen K. Amos and Steve Hughes. The other occurring feature every week of the show is the chance for Kielty to take the Mick of a celebrity guest in "The Chair", where the guest must stay sat for two minutes as he pays tribute to them in his own mean comedic way. Guests in "The Chair", who also got their twenty seconds to respond, included politician Lembit Öpik, former England goalkeeper Peter Shilton, John McCririck, Mark 'Bez' Berry, The X Factor's Chico Slimani and Celebrity Big Brother's Chantelle Houghton. Very good!
