Before the final twist became so obvious before it even happened, I was going to rail on all the haters. I was going to nail them for hating a traditional romance. And it was going well with a by-the-book romance with a twist of 'Sleeping with the Enemy'.

The first hint of trouble starts with David Lyons' overacting of a crazed ex. It was as if he came from a different genre. Did he think he was in a horror movie? Then the final twist really overcomplicated this Nicholas Sparks movie. He didn't need this. It may work for a book, but when you squeeze a book down to a film, you need to simplify.
