Comedy Central’s in-house digital studio Cc:Studios has handed out a slew of renewals and project pickups, the network announced today.
“Bro-Dependent,” “This Is Not Happening” and “The Walsh Brothers’ Great & Secret Comedy Show” were all renewed for second seasons. Cc:Studios has also greenlit six new comedy projects from alums of TV shows including “Punk’d” and “Workaholics.”
“This slate represents an evolution of Comedy Central’s development process, collaborating across departments as we work with an incredible roster of talented comedians to create shareable content,” said Allison Kingsley, veep of digital development at the Viacom cable net. Comedy Central recently eliminated its separate digital department, thereby emphasizing the “content is content” approach to programming television and online shows.
