Plot Summary

  • Ernie performs a Scottish Country Sword Dance. Other sketches include 'Buying Sun-Tan Tablets', 'Hidden Tapdancers', 'Keep Fit Ernie', and Ern's new play "The Lives Of A Bent Old Lancer". There is music from special guests Kenny Ball and His Jazzmen, and Jackie Darnell.

  • Ernie opened the show dressed in a kilt to welcome the Scottish viewers, sings a Scottish song and does an unusual Scottish dance. Ernie does his best to help. Kenny Ball and His Jazzmen perform "For All I Had Was Fifty Pence (Cents)". Ernie goes to the chemist shop for some suntan lotion. Eric, Ernie and The Geraldine Yates Dancers perform a tap dance routine. Ernie starts a get fit exercise regime. Jackie Darnell sings "That Old Feeling". Ernie's latest play is 'The Lives of a Bengal Lancer' set in Bengal in 1905.
