Storyline

The day after Professor Silverlake, consultant neurologist at the Dartmouth London hospital, has railed at three patients for smoking and drinking on the premises, all three are found dead. Silverlake, apparently the last doctor to visit the ward, later goes berserk with a rifle and is killed by police snipers. The ward's night nurse is also found dead. Nikki is deeply upset at having to perform an autopsy on a little girl who was murdered, apparently by Jason Bodle, on whom Silverlake once performed life-saving surgery, and wonders if the professor allowed himself to be shot out of remorse. Whilst Bodle is committed as unfit to plead, Silverlake's daughter, Naomi, asks Nikki to help clear her father's name of murder. Written by don @ minifie-1

The goriest ever Silent witness? I'll let you decide.

Nikki is naturally upset, when she has to examine a young girl, a victim of child killer Jason Bodle. At the local hospital Professor Silverlake has a rage when he sees patients smoking and drinking outside the Hospital. Three deaths occur overnight on the ward. Nurse Ying McCoy states Silverlake had attended them. Oafish D.I. Frank Skipper is called in, along with D.C. Julia Catina. Silverlake is gunned down by the Police after firing shots. Ying McCoy disappears, and it turns out that Silverlake had saved the life of Jason Bodle. Silverlake's daughter Naomi visits Nikki and pleads with her to find something medical for his actions, she was a daddy's girl. Ying McCoy's body is found in the hospital. Both suspects in the deaths of the patients are now dead.

Love or hate the character of DI Skipper, Mark Lewis Jones gives a good account of himself. Kelly Harrison is great too, they are the most memorable cops to appear in the show since the early days, they made a great duo.

It was criminal to only have Roy Marsden in the episode for such a short space of time, he was brilliant, especially his hospital outburst, but sadly not in it for long enough. Sinead Keenan was very good, I see her more as a comedy actress, but she is great.

Silent Witness was definitely going through its gore phase, we have more brains and bodies then any other episode. Did I have to see Roy Marsden's head examination!!

It's an excellent story, don't eat any food when watching this one as it is a bit overly graphic, but it's very high quality drama. 8/10
