Tony convinces Jackie the woman with whom she saw him was his sister, not his wife, and he agrees to support Candy Cabs when they are taken to a tribunal for sexism,as they only take female fares. However he is removed from his job for partiality as he is dating Jackie and he learns that treacherous council official Merv slipped him the bung. A contract for Girls on the Go,a social club for elderly women, seems heaven sent though the cab firm almost falls foul of its frosty organizer Ms. Pritchard when one of the old ladies enjoys herself so much it induces a heart attack. However,at the tribunal Jackie,Elaine and Tony, with their supporters outside the building, put up a good case and, ironically, Ms. Pritchard proves to be a valuable witness. The tribunal rules in Candy Cabs' favour, though the ruling allows Kenny Ho to open his own female cab firm, led by Dave's sister Di. Romance blooms between Candy Cabbie Big Pam and male driver Chub but Elaine is confused when her young brother-in-law Alex reveals his feelings for her and Dennis skips back to Spain in Dave's car, leaving Witney behind.
