Storyline

"Young Adult" is a sitcom dealing with the ups and downs during the initial stages of adulthood for five guys living in the city for the first time. Teacher Randy, Non-profiteer Slate, Would-be Staffer Murphy, and TV Critic War are told by Trivia Night Hostess Maya that they need a fifth teammate in order to stay at their local bar. They convince shy Law Student Abe to join them and soon after begin recounting their lives together. Randy deals with his first big set of papers to grade while balancing his need to drink away his grad professor's comments. Slate phones his long-distance girlfriend every few minutes to detail his life. Murphy goes through a series of odd jobs to pay the rent, and War deals with his own work drama after a workplace rival challenges his superiority. Meanwhile, Abe's girlfriend Vikki convinces him to pursue making 'dude friends' so he can be more social, leading to a night of drinking games, grading papers, and awkward comments while watching an all-night TV...
