Megan re-enters the high society world to which she once belonged when a top magazine editor is found dead at her Chestnut Hill mansion. Megan accepts her mother's invitation to a social event with the ulterior motive of confronting a prime suspect, appalling her mother in the process. When Kate asks Ethan to investigate the only trace evidence found at the murder scene, he's surprised by her uncharacteristically upbeat and supportive attitude. Written by ABC Publicity

Did You Know?

Curtis Brumfield: [Curtis is feeding his maggots, and singing to them] Time for dinner, little buddies. A-Yummy, yummy, num, num. A- yummy, yummy, do...
Ethan Gross: Could you try not to enjoy that so much?
Curtis Brumfield: [Speaking to the maggots] . Somebody's having a rough day.
Ethan Gross: [sighs] It's just... there's no roots on the hair, so no nuclear D.N.A., it's the only evidence from the killer, and I'm a little stressed, so a little quiet would go a long way.
Curtis Brumfield: [Speaking to the maggots] . Did you hear that?
Curtis Brumfield: Eat quietly.

No Real Thrill in Society Hill **1/2
27 April 2011 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Least effective episode so far in this good show.

We see the resentment between Dr. Hunt and her mother. All this comes to the surface after the mother's friend, the socially connected society writer is found dead in her pool. We have the usual array of suspects and Dr. Hunt literally claws her way to find out who did the woman in. As a fashion editor, she had made her enemies which she had exposed in her writings. Her office staff was on eggs with her as well, so there were plenty of suspects to go around.

How the good doctor came to the realization that the editor was electrocuted in the pool was very well thought out. Problem is, who cared by this point?
