At the funeral of Green Lantern Abin Sur on the Green Lantern Corps' headquarters on Oa, the corrupted robotic predecessors of the Corps, the Manhunters, attack. You control Green Lantern Hal Jordan as he joins the fight to defend Oa against this menace, armed with the might of the power ring. However, there is far more to this assault with enemies where you least expect them as the GLC try to make sure that no evil will escape their sight. Written by Kenneth Chisholm (kchishol@rogers.com)
The anticipation of this game by all the reviewers promised us it would be fun, and it is just that, fun. This game has fairly good graphics, an OK storyline but the range of varied weapons you can use is incredibly fun. As you probably know, the whole point of the green lantern is that their ring enables them to create anything that they see in their mind, so you start off with a few abilities and as the game progresses, you obtain more weapons and abilities. You gain points from defeating enemies and destroying certain barrels and then you spend the points in the upgrade menu to advance your current abilities or unlock cooler things. The only things that let this game down was 1. The fact that the camera angle is so far out at times that you can barely see your body, and 2. The game story on easy difficulty is only 6 hours as if the game is not on easy difficulty, the game is frustratingly hard.
