In “Blood Fest,” Sam (Gabriel) and Dax (Kay) are best friends who, along with the hapless Krill (Jacob Batalon, “Spider-Man: Homecoming”), must outwit the charismatic showman who runs an iconic horror-movie festival — who has a secret, diabolical agenda.

Previously announced cast members include Barbara Dunkelman (Rooster Teeth’s “Rwby”), Nick Rutherford (“Saturday Night Live,” “Crunch Time”) and Tate Donovan (“The Man in the High Castle”).

This 17-minute short film shows what happened to this young boy, before he became leader of The Lost Boys, when he was just an orphan like Peter Pan himself. Here's the official description of the 17-minute short film from the Kickstarter campaign page.

"This is the story about Rufio, before the mohawk, before Neverland, before he was The Pan. Roofus is a 13-year-old kid who is destined to be more than he is. The Most Terrifying Character in 13 Reasons Why Got His Start on Glee

7 April 2017 1:38 PM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Image Source: Netflix Of all the characters on 13 Reasons Why, few are as quietly terrifying as popular jock Bryce Walker. The drama follows high school student Clay (Dylan Minnette) after he receives a box of tapes from classmate Hannah Baker, who killed herself a few weeks earlier. On the tapes are the 13 reasons why she decided to commit suicide, each corresponding to a different person at the school. Bryce is a huge part of why she did what she did, and if you couldn't help but feel you'd seen the actor before while watching, you're definitely not alone. Signing on to play a character as despicable as Bryce can't have been a decision made lightly, but Justin Prentice - who was bullied himself as a kid - has had plenty of experience under his belt thus far in his career. The 23-year-old actor from Tennessee has been in the business »

‘Dragons: Race to the Edge’: 6 Reasons the ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ Netflix Show Isn’t Just For Kids

20 March 2017 12:20 PM, PDT | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

DreamWorks Animation has established itself as a studio which consistently produces stunning animated films, and perhaps no more so than with its “How to Train Your Dragon” film series. The franchise boasts endlessly beautiful imagery, as well as incredibly lovable characters and intense action. All of these elements can be found in spades in the Netflix spinoff series “Race to the Edge,” as the show expands on these facets and digs deep into what makes the franchise so great.

As with most animated properties, the main demographic for the “Dragons” franchise is children. However, the creators of both the films and TV series have shown that this franchise isn’t exclusively for children; rather, it’s conveniently made accessible for children, while proving entertaining for older audiences as well. Whether you’re a fan of animation, the franchise, looking for a fun fantasy series to binge for a couple of weekends, »

The Legend of Korra actor P.J. Byrne joins Dwayne Johnson’s Rampage

1 March 2017 7:30 AM, PST | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Over the past few years, actor P.J. Byrne has been quietly building a truly diverse filmography that places him at the center of some of the most interesting projects in film and TV. Between The Wolf of Wall Street, The Gift and Big Little Lies, Byrne has tackled an Oscar-nominated comedy, an edge-of-your-seat thriller and an HBO drama. Now, according to The Tracking Board, he’s setting his sights on action next.

Byrne will star alongside Dwayne Johnson in New Line’s film adaptation of the classic Midway arcade game Rampage. The movie will set Johnson’s zoologist against a lizard, gorilla and wolf looking to cause destruction and mayhem across America.

The site reports that Byrne will play “an ethical scientist who works with Johnson at a wildlife park and warns him when his beloved gorilla begins exhibiting dangerous symptoms.” Given his past works, it seems safe to assume »

Samurai Jack Is Back With Bloody And Violent Season 5 Trailer

6 February 2017 4:50 PM, PST | LRMonline.com | See recent LRM Online news »

Hollywood certainly has a love affair with nostalgia. In a world where brand recognition is everything, they are constantly in search of the next big franchise to resurrect. Occasionally, however, there are some projects that are resurrected not just to cash in on previously-said nostalgia, but to conclude a story that was formerly left open-ended. Enter Samurai Jack, a series that those in my generation view fondly of from the early 2000s.

In an age where animation was perceived as childish and silly, Samurai Jack stood as a testament of what the medium could if they don’t talk down to kids. It ran for four 13-seasons, and despite it’s critical acclaim, never truly finished. Back in December of 2015, it was announced that Adult Swim would be resurrecting the series for one final season.

Today, they released the first official trailer for the season, and if you were a fan of the original series, »

For Your Consideration: Angela Jordan Is A Sign Of Hope In Joey Min's The Legend Of Korra: A New Beginning

I expect every now and then as I did last year with my first ScreenAnarchy article that I'll use this platform as I do my own at Film Combat Syndicate to discuss some of today's considerable up-and-coming talents. Specifically speaking for today, it also comes with the rather rewarding release of a fantastic new fan film inspired by Nickelodeon's hit animated Avatar follow-up series, The Legend Of Korra. Thus, we get The Legend Of Korra: A New Beginning following production comprising all of November last year and the unveiling of its subsequent poster art you now see with up-and-comers, Art School Dropouts's own in-house martial arts talents, Angela Jordan and Stephanie Pham front and center in the respective roles of Korra and Asami. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants In Manhattan Inexplicably Removed From Sale

4 January 2017 10:19 AM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Platinum Games’ hack and slash game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants In Manhattan, has been removed from digital sale without so much as a word from publisher Activision. As spotted by NeoGAF users (via VideoGamer), the budget title has disappeared from Steam, the Xbox Games Store and Sony’s PlayStation Store, raising questions as to what’s happened.

Games being removed from digital sale isn’t a rare occurrence – publishers have done so in the past due to the expiration of licenses – but considering the relative newness of Mutants In Manhattan, one can only wonder what’s going on at Activision HQ.

Released back in May last year, Platinum’s Tmnt is just one of a collection of licensed titles developed by the studio, with Transformers Devastation and The Legend of Korra counted among them. With Amazing Spider-Man and its sequel both having disappeared too, it very much looks »
