Horatio Sanz, Matt Walsh Get The Riot Act: ‘A Better You’ At Sbiff – Hot Clip
Lobbyists against onscreen smoking could have a friend in comedic actor Andrew Daly (Comedy Central’s Review), or at least his persnickety neighbor character who is trying to clean up the streets in Matt Walsh’s second directorial comedy A Better You. The film follows Dr. Ron (Brian Huskey), a Hollywood quack hypnotherapist. The only thing worse than Dr. Ron’s methods are his disrespectful patients who loiter around the neighborhood as seen in this clip. The film, which was co-written by Huskey and Walsh, makes its world premiere today at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival at 4:40pm at the Metro 4, with screenings tomorrow at 8:10am and Monday, Feb. 2, at 10:20pm. The film is produced by Kirk Roos (The Brass Teapot, High Road, Painkillers) and his Badlands Features label. Joe Lo Truglio, Erinn Hayes, Rob Huebel, Morgan Walsh, Natasha Leggero, Reid Scott and Mo Gaffney also star.

Boundaries Are Conventions. And The Bone Clocks Author David Mitchell Transcends Them All.
It is a beautiful summer afternoon in Ireland, and David Mitchell and I are walking up the High Road above the River Bandon, in the town of Kinsale, talking about supercontinents. One of the pleasures of hanging out with Mitchell is that he is, by self-identification, many kinds of nerd—a Star Trek nerd, a Doctor Who nerd, a map nerd, a taxonomy nerd, a tea nerd, a word nerd, and, for good measure, what you might call a nerd nerd: an enthusiast of nerdery of all kinds. At one point in our conversation, he speaks admiringly of sheep nerds. But right now, he is nerding out about geology. “I’m reading this book called The Origins of the Irish,” Mitchell says, “and it starts with the literal origins of Ireland: Where did this blob of rock come from?” Turns out it came from two blobs of rock on opposite
