The original flick was made in 2004. It wasn't as good as expected but somehow it became a bit of cult. If you missed the flick just don't worry. This picks up easily even as you don't know the characters. The difference are some actors playing characters who were played by others in the flick. But there's more gore in it and even here and there a jugg to see.
Still, it's low budget. The sound isn't that good at all over the series and the editing failed on the part of continuity of the characters. But each episode clocking in around 20 minutes it's fun to see. They don't stand alone, you really have to follow them (a bit like Death Valley).
A lot of extras on the DVD like a short flick about, sigh, Chainsaw Sally and a very short about her doing her killings in a cellar. Also a few Troma trailers and a booby show...
