This show came up with a wonderful season ender. When the girls are threatened with a tornado hitting Cleveland, they flee to Elka's basement and what do they find there! It seems that Elka's late husband was a fence for the mob and she has some beautiful things there.
While sitting out the storm, the girls recount the events of the day. Victoria can't get to the Emmy Awards and she fantasizes what that would be like. Joy had sex with a guy and during the occasion, she got a cell page from her long-lost son. Problem is that she can't answer because of the storm. Melanie and her cop boyfriend express love for each other.
Bette White is as wisecracking as ever. The ending shall blow you away with laughter after Melanie's boyfriend discovers what is hidden in the basement. Time for those pictures of Elka at the police station!
The show certainly ended its season's run with a bang. What a great way to pick up in January.
