Quotes

[first lines]
Melanie Moretti: You guys, the strangest thing just happened to me; I had a conversation... with a neighbor.
Joy Scroggs: Wow! I never even saw my neighbors in L.A. Except during earthquakes.
Victoria Chase: Yeah, sometimes we'd pull into our driveways at the same time and, as our electronic gates were opening, I'd think: "I don't even know their names, and they don't know mine." And the world was good.
Melanie Moretti: Well, *that* was the L.A. us; here in Cleveland we're going to get to know our neighbors. In fact, I'm throwing a party. ...

Good Neighbors Always A Good Neighbor Policy ***
15 July 2010 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Elka has red hair as she is about to go the senior prom with Max. Problem is that her hair looks like she is Betty Boop, and it's just ridiculous. Fortunately, she realizes this and brings her hair back where she actually looks like Rose Nylan again from "Golden Girls" fame.

The centerpiece of this episode is where Melanie throws a party for the neighbors in their new Cleveland neighborhood. We see the girls trying desperately to get away from the idea of the L.A. crowd being so distant from each other. Trouble is that Bertinelli doesn't know when to stop talking and ruins the party. She tries to make it up to the town editor who had really been insulted. The scenes here are hilarious.
