What I like best about Stella and Sam is that the relationships between Stella, Sam and their friends are perpetually innocent, loving and imaginative. I am not used to seeing a sister and brother have such an unremittingly constructive relationship – no put-downs, no fighting, no impatience – as they run around playing in some idyllic (likely Canadian) landscape full of harmless animals and farms. (I wonder where the parents are, though.) And it is actually plausible to a degree. We've shown it to our 5 year-old daughter and her 2 year-old brother in the hope that this show will help them and us to see how they can grow up in a little happier way. Although, maybe we should get a dog and move to the countryside!

The title song, which is also used for incidental themes during the episodes, is catchy and is a perfect fit for the show.

This might be my favourite children's TV cartoon series along with Harold and the Purple Crayon.

I am pleasantly surprised that a show with so many companies and government agencies getting their share of credits in it (as is so often the case with Canadian productions) turned out so well. I don't know if any of the people involved in its making has had or will have much of a career, but I hope that they all do.

Great preschool show

Wonderful show that features a younger brother and a protective older sister playing imaginative games and having lots of fun. The relationship between the two is very special as Stella leads Sam and their friends through interesting adventures. Especially loved episode thirteen from season one called "Sam and the Sky Painter/Deer Friend". Not sure what the target age group is but I feel this would be appropriate for the three to five set. My three year old has been watching since she was two and a half and never tires of it even though she has seen each episode at least 3 times. We even bought the DVD for plane rides.

Excellent Series!

When I watched Stella and Sam on Sprout for the first time, I have noticed that it is a little different from other preschool shows. It's about two siblings, Stella and Sam. They love to play in their backyard meadow and imagine all the things they can do.

Children would really love the meadow scenery to imagine what it like in the great outdoors as Parents, Grandparents and Babysitters, also find this show much better for fun and exciting in every episode.

I have found this animated series is great for a child to explore the great outdoors, play games, relax and a lot of imagination.

Overall, this is an Excellent Animated Series for Children and Grown-ups to let their Inner Child out. I would recommend this series to anyone who loves the great outdoors.

Nika & Dadashi

This interesting and beautiful animation is shown in Iran under the name Nika and Dadashi, an attractive and beautiful product that teaches life skills to its audience with children's language The dubbing of this animation in different languages of the world shows its universality, and the use of simple but important topics can help the child's potential development The names of these two children are changed in different countries based on local culture, Nika is a 9 year old girl and her brother is 4 years old Who discover the truths of life by using their imaginations with children's literature Also, the use of children's theme and simple drawing has caused the child to not establish a better relationship with this anime!

Sweet Little Cartoon
iowalast13 December 2021
Sweet little cartoon about big sister Stella and her little brother Sam set in an adorable world of imagination . The cute duo set off on all sorts of imaginative adventures in their own backyard whilst caring for each other and meeting friends along the way. My 3 & 5 year old love it, and it's one of the rare toddler audience cartoons I don't mind having to watch, even multiple times. I highly recommend this one.
