Did You Know?

During the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame party, Huey Lewis' character makes a reference to drilling oil in the Gulf of Mexico. Victoria replies "still don't follow the news, do you?" This is a pun on Huey Lewis being (in actuality) the leader of his band, The News, and a reference to the 2010 BP oil spill. See more »

Victoria Chase: Ice. I need ice.
Joy Scroggs: I realize it's happy hour somewhere, but isn't it a bit early even for you?
Victoria Chase: It happens to be an emergency.

Victoria Chase: I pulled a muscle fastening my bra.
Elka Ostrovsky: What's going on?

Hot in Cleveland 1.4 Sex that Got Away is Passable ***
7 July 2010 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Whie the previous episode was better, this one can hold its own very nicely.

Victoria is the main star in this one. Going with the other girls and Elka to a rock concert, she meets an old beau who dropped her years before. She plans to get back at him by throwing a drink in his face until he speaks well to her.

The hilarity really begins back at his pad. Both soon discover that the years have left them with some physical problems when they both try to make certain moves on each other.

Bette White really has a grumpy voice on the show. Her talk about the "bad boys" in Poland in the 1930s is not the greatest. I had warned her from the first show to stay away from that kind of material. I don't know what the writers are thinking.
