Sleepless Night Trailer

28 September 2011 9:03 AM, PDT | FilmJunk | See recent FilmJunk news »

Frederic Jardin's Sleepless Night (Nuit Blanche) is another buzz film coming out of the Midnight Madness programme at this year's Toronto International Film Festival. It's a white-knuckle action thriller that takes place over one night, following a dirty cop who gets caught up in a drug deal gone bad. After his son is kidnapped and held for ransom, he hits the seedy streets and nightclubs of Paris, racing against the clock to get him back. Just like The Raid, it was announced last week that a U.S. remake is already in the works. It will be produced by Roy Lee (Abduction, The Departed). Here's the first official trailer for the original film, however, which looks pretty intense. There are no English subtitles, but I'm not sure that you'll need any. Sleepless Night does not yet have a U.S. release date; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think. »

Watch: Full French Trailer for Action-Thriller Favorite 'Sleepless Night'

27 September 2011 6:45 PM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

Nuit Blanche! I usually prefer to wait until a trailer comes out that actually has subtitles, but because this is one of my favorite films of the year, I'm posting this anyway. Twitch has put up an official French theatrical trailer for Frédéric Jardin's Sleepless Night, the action-thriller that we raved about after seeing at Tiff a few weeks ago. Even though this is in French and does not have English subtitles (yet), it's worth watching to get an idea of the action and intensity and why this is a must watch as soon as it does hit Us theaters. It's already getting a remake, but this is the original that's definitely worth watching as soon as possible. Enjoy! Watch the official French trailer for Frédéric Jardin's Sleepless Night, embedded via Twitch: A cop races through a packed nightclub, dodging drug dealers, and corrupt cops in a mad »

Fresh off of a rousing premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it triggered a bidding war for remake rights, Frederic Jardin's Sleepless Night (Nuit Blanche) is now gearing up for its French theatrical release and the first proper French trailer has just arrived online.A gunshot shatters the early-morning silence on the streets of Paris as two men in balaclavas intercept a car on a drug run. In the rushed heist that follows, one of the drug carriers in the vehicle is shot. The other escapes, but not before getting a glimpse of one of the men unmasked. The next day, one of the thieves, Vincent (Tomer Sisley of Largo Winch), is addressed as lieutenant in the bathroom at work. This reveal -- »

Though it isn't scheduled for release in France until November, Warner Bros. already has plans to remake Sleepless Night ( Nuit Blanche ) for domestic release. The Hollywood Reporter has the story, saying that Roy Lee will produce the remake. Directed by Frédéric Jardin, the original involves an undercover cop who winds up losing a bag of cocaine that he needs to pay the villainous owner or a nightclub in ransom for the release of his kidnapped son. Sleepless Night / Nuit Blanche (2011) Movie Trailer: Frédéric Jardin

13 September 2011 9:59 AM, PDT | Film-Book | See recent Film-Book news »

Sleepless Night / Nuit Blanche Trailer. Frédéric Jardin‘s Sleepless Night / Nuit Blanche (2011) movie trailer stars Tomer Sisley, Birol Unel, Laurent Demianoff, Dean Constantin Gaigani, and Joey Starr. Sleepless Night / Nuit Blanche‘s plot synopsis: “Vincent (Tomer Sisley) is a police lieutenant who also does some side work as a drug mule. A drop-off goes bad and the coke gets stuck with Vincent. The next day his son is kidnapped by the thug Jose Marciano (Serge Riaboukine) who also happens to own a massive nightclub. Going to retrieve his son, a pair of cops are also on his tail to stir things up.”

I like the trailer but it gives away everything, it is basically a video synopsis of the entire film. This seems more like a sales trailer than a theatrical movie trailer. It could also be a complete lack of common sense. The film does look good though.

Toronto Review/Video Blog: Frédéric Jardin's Amazing 'Sleepless Night'

12 September 2011 2:27 PM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

Holy crap the Midnight Madness line-up this year at the Toronto Film Festival is incredible (for the most part)! The other midnight film, besides The Raid, that I caught without knowing what I was about to even see and ended up loving is a French action-thriller called Sleepless Night (or Nuit Blanche in French). It's directed by a filmmaker named Frédéric Jardin and stars up-and-coming actor Tomer Sisley as a cop, but it's one of those surprising "that was Amazing" discoveries that I cannot wait to tell everyone about. It's an intense, edge-of-your-seat film that mostly takes place inside/around one massive Parisian nightclub. Sleepless Night pulls from Taken, with a story about a cop named Vincent (played by Sisley), whose son gets taken by a drug lord that runs a huge nightclub in Paris called Le Tarmac. It starts out with a car chase action scene on the streets of Paris, »
