Very Entertaining Episode
grim200523 September 2018
This is a "Freaky Friday" episode, where mother and daughter - Bridgette in this case - switch bodies and have to live out each other's lives for a short period of time. The episode is definitely entertaining and a nice break from the almost always serious tone of every other episode, but it isn't without its flaws.

For a start, any of the serious scenes with Bridgette in Allison's body tend to feel cringy, because you know she's making a fool out of herself, but it doesn't have the comedy to be able to laugh it off. Also, the fact the show tends to be serious, and a lot of this episode is that also, makes the comedy feel out of place. It just feels odd to go immediately from two characters discussing someone's death to Bridgette doing something weird while in her mother's body. And lastly, on a logical level it seems silly that Joe didn't alert Allison's boss as to what was going on and that he didn't figure out a way to keep tabs on Bridgette.

Overall, I'm glad they made the episode and it's definitely one worth watching, but it certainly isn't something I'd want again or as the new tone of the show.

Cute but cringy

Warning: Spoilers
I think it would had been better if they stick to Freaky Friday theme and let the mother/daughter understand each other better. Or maybe they should made it into 2 part 🤷‍♀️. You're 40+, get a chance to be 12-13 yo again and you go to school like normal.

Maria Lark as Allison was great and cute. 👏👏👏 for a preteen acting.

Patricia as Bridgette was cringy. Surprised nobody asked if she's drunk (they might IDK, I fast forward her scenes)

Everyone in the Dubois household knows that Bridgette is no angel so it amazed me that they didn't tell DA & Lee to send her home when see her. They spend 6+ years with Allison, been through all the weird/crazy crap. And when Allison woke up as the rich plastic surgeon's dead wife, Lee was there. So it wouldn't be like they wouldn't understand.

About the case: wish the video/dare were less 🤢 (lol IMDB doesn't allow throw up emoji). It was nice the JH boy made a documentary on the dead.

Cringy

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was super cringy. One was just how it was portrayed with the music and another Dubois child got involved with someone suspected of murder. But I think the worst part was how Brigette as Allison was portrayed. Watching all previous episodes, Brigette can be a little bratty usually towards Ariel but how she acted as Allison was just terrible and not her character. Also considering, half a season before this, she was crying because of a dream with someone dying in it, it doesn't make total sense that she would run down to the DAs office just to see the body. A very disappointing season opening.
