One Revelation After Another, Plus a Scene of Shocking Violence
Better_TV14 April 2018
This episode has a literal bevy of surprises and revelations; if you're watching it for the first time, I envy you.

So much of this episode consists of big reveals, and this episode has more physical, violent action than pretty much any other episode thus far, which the show pulls off with raw aplomb. Plus, the nature of the conspiracy that has been hanging over the show since episode 1 is finally revealed - not due to some some side character's villainous expository monologue, as it might have been in another, lesser show, but instead due to Will's persistent investigative work and bright analytic mind. Wouldn't have it any other way!

And while I thought Kale Ingram (Arliss Howard) came out of this episode being possibly one of the coolest characters on TV and certainly within this show, there are some who might find his actions to be stereotypical and a bit cheesy. Hint: there is at least one tracksuit involved.

There's no turning back now for Will as we head into the penultimate episode. I can already tell I'll be sad when it's all over - this show really could've had a better chance at success if it came out today on one of the streaming platforms. Bummer.

The revelation is coming full circle
Red_Identity3 October 2010
It's hard to imagine Rubicon being better than in the weeks prior to this, but somehow every week, it manages to keep surprising me in incredible ways.

Tanya is sent back to the group, and the team encounters a revelation about the one person they were learning about for weeks. Will gives Katherine some important information, and Spangler finally decides to take action. That is all I can say, simply because the episode is so great that it is better not to give anything more away. The show has definitely proved that it is a great show not because of the mystery that loomed into us in the Pilot, but because it has interesting, strong characters and a plot every week that keeps the audience on edge. The episode plays out like only a great crime thriller film can, and in that it has amazing writing and direction. What more can we want from Rubicon?

I am definitely looking forward to the final episodes, and I truly wonder how it will all end.
