The 100 Greatest World Cup Moments of All Time!, 20 June 2010

I will admit firstly that I am not a big fan of football, but obviously everyone is going to be talking to you about the World Cup, so I might as well watch it with most other people. Presented by Bob Mortimer, this programme counts down the 100 most memorable moments of World Cup football, voted by the viewers who witnessed them, and some football experts. With contributions from celebrities and football related personalities, including Terry Alderton, John Aldridge, John Barnes, Dennis Bergkamp, Peter Bonetti, O.J. Borg, Terry Butcher, Sir Bobby Charlton, Terry Christian, Rt Hon Kenneth Clarke MP, Wensley Clarkson, Ray Clemence, Andrew Clover, Chris Cohen, Nathaniel 'Nat' Coombs, Phil Daniels, Kevin Day, Omid Djalili, Paul Gascoigne, Archie Gemmill ... Himself, Jimmy Greaves, Stuart Hall, Harry Harris, Paul Heaton, Emlyn Hughes, Norman Hunter, Pat Jennings, Sue Johnston, Martin Kelner, Jürgen Klinsmann, Mark Lawrenson, Gabby Logan, Hugh McIlvanney, Bob Mills, Tina Moore, Piers Morgan, Christian O'Connell, David O'Leary, Michael Owen, Jonathan Pearce, Stuart Pearce, David Platt, Gordon Ramsay, Rowland Rivron, Lisa Rogers, Neil 'Razor' Ruddock, Kevin Sheedy, Shovell, Dr. Aric Sigman, Matt Tench, Pete Tong, Paul Tonkinson, Phil Tufnell, Mark Webster, Jim White and the late Kenneth Wolstenholme in 2002 archive footage (there was an original 100 Greatest World Cup list). Moments in the list included: a dog wandering onto the pitch, manager Alf Ramsey, Terry Butcher bleeding heavily from a head injury, a dog finding the stolen 1966 England World Cup, Pele in the game, England's fastest goal, a goal shot accidentally on purpose, a scissor kick goal, Diana Ross missing a goal at the opening ceremony in the USA (hosting), the Mexican Wave, Gary Linekar's hat-trick, Cristiano Ronaldo winking after Wayne Rooney is sent off, "Back Home" named the Best English World Cup Song, Bend It Like Beckham, Paul Gascoigne's tears on being sent off and missing the next round, The Hand of God (a hand-ball goal), obviously England winning in 1966 against West Germany (not number one?), England beating Germany 5-1 in 2001's Qualifier, a Michael Owen goal in 1998, and number one was Diego Maradona's 2nd Goal against Argentina in 1986. Good!
