While I love these original comic book stories, straight from the source, even animation wise, these Marvel Knights segments aren't my favorite to watch, great Spider Woman story though!

Zero mouth movements means its hard to watch
kuuk318 July 2015
The animation is poor. None of the mouths move, so its just static pictures with a bit of movement of certain cut outs. It looks hand painted though.

The episodes are short and there are titles and credits on each episode making them even shorter. You have to press skip if watching the DVD. Why they couldn't edit them all together into a proper movie is beyond explanation.

At times, the static screen is overwhelmingly poor. Jessica has pale green skin and is missing eyes on occasion. Story plots jump from a Single punch fight with another Superhero to being locked up by a terrorist with no explanation.

Even the story seemed depressing and for someone called "Spider-woman" she spends very little time in her costume and has no skills or powers of use. Poor showing.

Fantastic Story, Unconventional Style
sirius-5827825 November 2015
"Spider-Woman, Agent of S.W.O.R.D." tells a story of a strong but troubled female protagonist who must fight through personal doubt and struggle to overcome difficult odds. There are several action scenes throughout, which show the potent abilities of Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman, but rather than being a heroic/action story, it's more of a spy/private investigator type of story. Brian Michael Bendis's writing is top notch, as is the voice direction and acting. The style of Alex Maleev's beautiful art matches the tone of the story well.

If you go into this expecting typical cartoon animation, you may be disappointed. This is not an animated feature, it is a motion comic. It uses art from the original comic (with supplemental animation), as well as the original dialogue and narration. This brings to the screen the tone and depth of the original writing and art, and as a result this doesn't suffer from the loss of story that usually results from comic book adaptations. Additionally, it has solid background music which helps set the tone and fits the dark art style. If you like comics primarily for the action you may be bored with the story, otherwise you will probably enjoy it.

Agent of S.W.O.R.D

OK , this is my review on Spider-Woman , Agent of SWORD.

Get to know more of the Marvel Universe.

Ever wonder after watching the various Marvel shows what sets Spider-Woman agent of S.W.O.R.D apart from other Marvel Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D and Marvel Agent of S.M.A.S.H.? No spoilers here. Just that this is not just a movie but a motion comic. Therefore it has twice the fun of solving the intrigue. You will just have to read, view the motion movie to find out more. Spider-Woman is a character that many may not know well. Here her story is told in a bit more meaning.

Ya!
