'Now You See Me' trailer: Or, 'That Movie About Magicians Who Rob Banks'

19 November 2012 9:01 AM, PST | EW - Inside Movies | See recent EW.com - Inside Movies news »

Have you heard of Now You See Me? No? Well, then do yourself a favor and scroll down right now to watch the utterly bananas trailer for this movie. Need some convincing? The film stars Woody Harrelson in a fedora, Jesse Eisenberg basically playing Zuckerberg on steroids, and Wedding Crasher funny-psycho Isla Fisher as magicians who rob from the rich and give to the poor. They appear to have technology from the future, or maybe from space. The presence of Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman give the whole thing a thin veneer of Nolanism. Additionally, Mark Ruffalo Ruffalizes. This looks crazy, »

Louis Leterrier’s Now You See Me Trailer Starring Jesse Eisenberg

19 November 2012 8:59 AM, PST | FilmJunk | See recent FilmJunk news »

Back in 2006, two dueling movies about magicians happened to hit theatres around the same time: Christopher Nolan's The Prestige and Neil Burger's The Illusionist. Now it appears that magic is back in vogue again as another wave of magic-related films are headed our way including Mandrake the Magician, McG's Magic Castle movie, and a new Houdini biopic. Before any of those even head into production, however, we will be getting something a little bit different: a heist flick that revolves around a group of magicians who use their skills to steal from the rich and give to the poor. The movie is called Now You See Me, and it stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco as this group of illusionists known as "The Four Horsemen", who face off against a team of FBI agents led by Mark Ruffalo. Although the premise is somewhat intriguing, »

Now You See Me trailer shows heist flick with a magic twist

19 November 2012 8:58 AM, PST | Cineplex | See recent Cineplex news »

Starring the interesting and fresh combination of Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco (brother of James), Morgan Freeman (who provides the voice-over, duh), Michael Caine, Mark Ruffalo and Melanie Laurent, Now You See Me takes the heist movie genre and adds a pinch of magic dust and razzle-dazzle. The Four Horsemen, who steal from the rich and give to the poor, use the power of illusion, misdirection, grandiose spectacle and illusion to fool the crowds.

Of course, slight of hand isn't going to be enough of an explanation for how these massive, cross-country robberies are taking place and with FBI agents in hot pursuit, these tricky masters of deception are going to have to pull off the ultimate con in order to stay out of jail.

Directed by Louis Leterrier (Clash of the Titans, Transporter), the first trailer for Now You See Me has just been released and »

Jesse Eisenberg stars in first trailer for Now You See Me: watch now

19 November 2012 1:58 AM, PST | TotalFilm | See recent TotalFilm news »

The first trailer has emerged online for Now You See Me, in which Jesse Eisenberg and a posse of do-gooding magicians play Robin Hood through a series of elaborately staged bank jobs. Eisenberg stars alongside Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco as a quartet of magicians who use their shows as a cover for their theft, before redistributing their ill-gotten gains to their stunned audience. However, such altruism comes at a cost, and it isn’t long before Mark Ruffalo’s FBI man and Melanie Laurent’s Interpol agent are...

‘Now You See Me’ Trailer: Bank-Robbing Magicians Plan One Last Score

18 November 2012 9:55 AM, PST | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

“Come in close, because the more you think you see, the easier it’ll be to fool you,” narrates Morgan Freeman as the veteran illusion debunker Thaddeus in the first trailer for Now You See Me.

That voiceover might bring back memories of Christian Bale’s “Are you watching closely?” from Christopher Nolan’s dueling illusionists film The Prestige – all the more so once Michael Caine shows up. However, this tale of professional do-daring magicians is an old-fashioned heist thriller infused with new life, courtesy of some flashy stage trickery (enhanced via the ‘magic’ of editing/special effects) and high-octane thrills directed by Louis Leterrier (The Transporter, Incredible Hulk, Clash of the Titans).

Now You See Me revolves around the exploits of The Four Horsemen – a group of Las Vegas magicians renowned for their hi-tech shows and mind-boggling stunts – brought to life by Jesse ...

20 Stills From Magical Crime Thriller ‘Now You See Me’

18 November 2012 2:00 AM, PST | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

It seems like only yesterday we were reporting on the release of Now You See Me trailer, the all-star latest from Louis Letterier. Now we have some excellent stills giving us an even deeper look into this heist film where the FBI don’t have to prove that a crime took place or who did it, but how it was done. My guess is we are going to see a lot of techno wizardry playing a big part. The cast is certainly a big one and it reunites Zombieland stars Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson and The Dark Knight cast mates Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. That alone makes me want to see this film. Let’s just hope too much isn’t given away in future trailers and press material as it’s the mystery that is going to make this film work.

Just yesterday the first trailer for the magician-centered pic Now You See Me was released online, and now a large batch of images from the film have surfaced.  The movie follows an FBI squad on the heels of a team of bank-robbing magicians who share their profits with the audience.  Directed by Louis Letterier (Clash of the Titans), the film boasts an impressive ensemble cast that includes Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Melanie Laurent, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine.  The trailer played a bit like a “fun” version of The Prestige with a dash of Ocean’s Eleven thrown in for good measure, and I’m interested to see what the full has in store. Hit the jump to peruse the images.  The film also stars Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and CommonNow You See Me opens on June 7, 2013. Via Emileeid. First Trailer for Now You See Me with Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson & Morgan Freeman

Due out in the height of Summer 2013, Now You See Me has long been one of my most anticipated films of next year, with a fantastic leading cast in Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Morgan Freeman, Mark Ruffalo, Mélanie Laurent, Dave Franco, and Michael Caine.

We saw a terrific first promo poster for the film way back in November last year, and now Yahoo Movies has debuted the anticipated first trailer, featuring some very promising footage.

“An elite FBI squad is pitted in a game of cat and mouse against “The Four Horsemen,” a super-team of the world’s greatest illusionists. “The Four Horsemen” pull off a series of daring heists against corrupt business leaders during their performances, showering the stolen profits on their audiences while staying one step ahead of the law.”

The cast is by far one of the best we have to look forward to next summer, »

Now You See Me Trailer Appears

Though the heist film is a tried-and-true part of the crime genre, it’s not often you see a really nifty twist on the idea. But Now You See Me appears to offer exactly that, with a team called the Four Horsemen pulling off an audacious and seemingly impossible robbery during their Vegas act. The trailer is online and must be seen to be believed (Ok, just seen) above.Jesse Eisenberg stars as Atlas, the leader of the Horsemen; a team that also includes Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco. Here's a little gift for the revving marketing machine beind Now You See Me: the Twitter hashtag #OccupyMagic. The first trailer for the action-illusion-comedy (a new genre is born every day) has hit the web, putting at the fore a Jesse Eisenberg that combines his sneering genius Mark Zuckerberg from The Social Network with a bit of David Blaine and people-powered Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders (and maybe a touch of Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man, for good measure). Director Louis Leterrier (Clash Of The Titans, The Incredible Hulk) assembles an impressive cast, including Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freemen, Michael Caine, and Woody Harrelson, for the rather intriguing high concept thriller Now You See Me. Harrelson, and Eisenberg, joined by Isla Fisher and Dave Franco, star as a team of illusionists, The Four Horsemen, whose flashy stage shows are a front for elaborate heists. On the verge of pulling off one last big job, they receive some unwanted attention from the police and an angry victim of one of their heists. Y'know, the usual.  I really like the look of this. I'm a sucker for a good heist caper, and the stage magic aspect of the movie should keep things interesting. via Yahoo! Movies Released: 7th June 2013 (U.S.)/ 21st June 2013 (U.K./Irl) »
