Cyndi Lauper has almost always been the odd woman out. She’s been flashing her eccentric style since long before it was considered cool and has been rocking it ever since. That’s a big part of why people love her and why she’s that awesome. It might also have something to do with the fact that she can produce great music and put on one heck of a good show. She’s been a part of pop culture for so long that all anyone has to do is speak her name and most people will nod their heads and smile as they

Last night (May 20) David Letterman officially retired from his post at “The Late Show,” but not before a few of his celebrity friends sent him off with their own hilarious Top 10 list.
Kicking things off for “The Top 10 Things I’ve Always Wanted to Say to Dave,” Alec Baldwin declared, “Of all the talk shows, yours is the most geographically convenient to my home,” while Barbara Walters asked, “Did you know you wear the same cologne as Muammar Gaddafi?”
Steve Martin chimed in, “Your extensive plastic surgery was necessary and a mistake,” and Jerry Seinfeld shared, “I have no idea what I’ll do when you go off the air. You know, I just thought of something — I’ll be fine.” After several other snarky statements, Bill Murray closed it out with, “Dave, I’ll never have the money I owe you.”...

It is not really difficult in coming up with cinema siblings and assessing their impact on the films they graced with humor, horror or hedonism. Whatever the combination–brother and sister, brother and brother, sister and sister–the big screen has always produced some of the most compelling siblings to entertain or shock us as the lights go dim at the local cinemaplex.
So who do you favor as your all-time favorite movie siblings? Perhaps you wouldn’t mind brothers Michael and Sam from 1987′s The Lost Boys? Or how about sisters Drizella and Anastasia from the 1950 animated film Cinderella? Maybe you could go for the transformation of television’s Brady kids into the film version of 1995′s The Brady Bunch Movie?

Earlier this week, comedian Zach Galifianakis welcomed an especially high-profile guest – President Barack Obama – on his popular web series, Between Two Ferns. And while Galifiankis maintained his typically awkward screen presence during their interview, the Commander-in-Chief says the hilariously droll interviewer was squirming inside.

"Zach actually was pretty nervous," the president told On the Air With Ryan Seacrest during a brief interview Friday morning. "It was funny to watch you know, 'cause this whole Between Two Ferns shtick…his whole character is to go after the guests.

This is my confession. If ‘The Voice’ were a dancing competition, Usher would be winning first place. See his awesome performance from the June 10 episode.
While all the singers on The Voice were seriously amazing on June 10, it was coach Usher who stole the show when he debuted his new song “Twisted.” His amazing dance routine involved flirting with girls, showing off his amazing footwork, and even landing in two splits!
Usher Performs ‘Twisted’ On ‘The Voice’ — He Does Two Splits
Usher took the stage and said, “Let me put my shades on,” so we weren’t quite sure what to expect. Plus, his “shades” looked more like glasses. Anyways!
Then moments later, he broke into his new song “Twisted,” and proved to us that while he’s been focusing on being an amazing coach to Michelle Chamuel on The Voice, he’s still had time to work on his stellar dance moves.

The X Factor featured some of its best performances ever with Carly Rose Sonenclar winning the judges' hearts with Celion Dion's My Heart Will Go On. Another judge favorite was Jennel Garcia who 'nailed it' with her rendition of Tina Turner's Rolling On A River. Other performances included last week's favorite Tate Stevens singing From This Moment, Diamond White performing her version of Beyonce's Halo and a not so judge favorite Beatrice Miller singing Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time. Lyric 145 sang Queen's We Will Rock You, Arin Rey performed Crazy For You by Madonna, Paige Thomas sang Donna Summer's hit song Last Dance and Fifth Harmony wowed the judges with Mariah Carey's Hero. Rounding out the 12 performances, was Vino Allen singing Tina Turner's Lets Stay Together, Emblem 3 singing Alicia Keys' No One and Cece Frey singing All By Myself Are you...

Update: Annie’s recap is live.
Skylar Laine (pictured, far left) misses her deer-killin’ gun so much, but you know what she can’t shoot? The giant animated eagle behind her in the gaudy Idol Oval during Bette Midler’s “Wind Beneath My Wings”! Because she’s flying so high above it, and because it’s not real! The country rocker surprised everyone by taking on the inspirational Beaches ballad. It was the showcase for Skylar’s big voice the judges had been waiting for after she landed in the bottom three last week.

The Top 8 finalists on "American Idol" are getting their '80s on, and now we know what songs the group of kids -- all but one of them weren't even alive in the '80s -- are singing. There's some "Time After Time," some "Islands In the Stream," some "Flashdance" -- but nary an "Against All Odds" in sight (though Phil Collins is repped with some Genesis to start off the show).
They were mentored by No Doubt's Gwen Stefani and Tony Kanal.
Check out the playlist, including a list of four '80s-a-riffic duets, as tweeted by the official "Idol" twitter account (which posted a pic of musical director Ray Chew's set list for the night):
"That's All," Genesis
"Time After Time," Cyndi Lauper
"Wind Beneath My Wings," Bette Midler
"Flashdance ... What a Feeling," Irene Cara
"If You Don't Know Me By Know," Simply Red
"I Like It,...

If there was a doctor in the house during Tuesday night’s American Idol telecast, he or she really should’ve rushed the stage at the 1:22 marker and called the official time of death for criticism. That was seconds after J.Lo, Randy, and Steven used words like “beautiful,” “mad cool” and “good job” to describe a performance that found “adorable” Eben Franckewitz wreaking havoc on Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain” like a baby doing its worst to a diaper.

"American Idol" kicked off its Top 24 with the 12 men (plus a mystery extra guy!). It's really throwing us off having the Top 24 be in the big theater and not the tiny one with the Coca Cola dungeon up top.
We also miss seeing them walk awkwardly towards the camera with finger guns and winks and whatnot, though there was plenty of creepy weirdness as Ryan introduced them down the line. Please don't do that ever again, Heejun Han.
1. Reed Grimm, "Moves Like Jagger," Maroon 5
If you close your eyes, this is great. Not that Reed is hard on the eyes, because he's not. But his sound is nice, he actually sounds a lot like Levine, only jazzy. Just when we were thinking it was a tad boring, he takes to the drums and gets bolder, but the excitement mostly comes from the seizure-inducing lights. And after the drum solo,...

It’s Groundhog Day, and we on the internet are struggling to greet this holiday the same way we greet every holiday: With themed, numbered lists blatantly designed to capitalize on otherwise extremely minor events (think 11/11/11). Rather than conceding that there just aren’t many Groundhog Day related things and miss this golden opportunity, we have instead spent the day doing intensive pop culture research and engaging in passionate staff debates to come up with the following informative list that you should totally send to all your friends. Behold, The Top 2 Groundhog-Day-Related Movies In Cinematic History: 2. Groundhog Day This Bill Murray / Andie MacDowell classic functions expertly as an enjoyable, watchable comedy and as an insightful philosophical exploration of fate, love, inevitability, and self-betterment. It is, in our personal estimation, unquestionably one of the greatest films ever made about the holiday Groundhog Day. And the #1 Groundhog Day-related movie of all time is…...

This week: The origin of the fright franchise's supernatural terror is explored in the prequel "Paranormal Activity 3," Hugh Jackman plays a former boxer who promotes robot fighters in the futuristic family flick "Real Steel," and two classic comedies -- "Stripes" and "Annie Hall" -- make their Blu-ray debuts.
'Paranormal Activity 3'
Box Office: $104 million
Rotten Tomatoes: 66% Fresh
Storyline: This "Paranormal Activity" prequel features found VHS footage of Katie and Kristi Featherton when they were little girls in 1988. It seems that supernatural shenanigans have followed the sisters for years, and their mother's boyfriend, a wedding photographer, records every devilish thing that goes bump in the night.
Extras! The "Lost Tapes" on the DVD and Blu-ray feature some more footage of the mother's boyfriend (Christopher Nicolas Smith) trying to scare her (Lauren Bittner), but any footage of the sex tape the two tried to make at the beginning of the movie remains regrettably "lost.

This column began as a countdown of the best Twilight Zone episodes of all time. However, in approaching the list, I necessarily brought my own bias to the proceedings. I could try to be as objective as possible, but at the end of the day, with so many great works, many fantastic episodes would get lost in the mix. Everyone knows the standbys, but each person surely has a few odd apples that get tossed into the bunch. I’m no different. I have a soft spot for “The Silence,” in which a man takes a bet not to talk for a year, and it’s revealed at the end that Spoiler Alert he severed his own vocal chords. I also have particular affection for lesser-heralded eps such as “The Rip Van Winkle Caper” and “I Shot An Arrow Into The Air,” with their clever twists on time travel via...

To celebrate the end of our Pixar take-over, it is with great pleasure, and a good deal of relief, that I can unveil The Top 50 Pixar Characters, based entirely on my own opinions. But hey, I’m probably the biggest Pixar nerd there is, and I’ll willingly take tests to prove it.
Sadly no place for Flick from A Bug’s Life – I just don’t think he’s all that great in comparison to the rest of the cast, and Woody Allen’s version of essentially the same character in Antz is by far the more superior, thanks to a more authentic neuroses. He would probably have come in at number 51 is that’s any consolation, though I think it probably isn’t…
Anyway, enjoy.
50. Jesse The Yodelling Cowgirl
She almost didn’t make it, on account of her badly grating voice (thanks to Joan Cusack), but Jesse...
