Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis Enjoying a Date at Basketball Game

30 December 2011 10:00 PM, PST | Celebrity Mania | See recent Celebrity Mania news »

Olivia Wilde was seen attending a basketball game with Jason Sudeikis on Thursday night, December 29. The rumored couple watched the University of Kansas Jayhawks playing against Sam Houston State University's Howard Bison.

The actress, played Liza in "Blackbird", was seen donning a Kansas knit cap and a white t-shirt during the outing which took place in Lawrence, Kansas. As for her rumored boyfriend, the comedian opted for a blue cap and a hooded jacket.

The dating rumor of Olivia and Jason emerged earlier this month after a source testified to have spotted the 27-year-old actress visiting the "Saturday Night Live" actor on the set of the variety show. The source said back then, "She's come to the (SNL) studio at Rockefeller Center, and they've gone out to dinner after rehearsals."

Before being romantically linked to Jason, Olivia was married to Italian prince Tao Ruspoli but split from him last October. »

Eric Bana Plays Elvis Presley, Danny Huston Is Richard Nixon In Indie Feature

23 October 2011 4:36 PM, PDT | Deadline | See recent Deadline news »

Eric Bana and Danny Huston will star in Elvis & Nixon, an indie that marks the directing debut of actor Cary Elwes, who wrote the script with Joey Sagal and Hanala Sagal. The film’s funded by Benaroya Pictures. The film is based on a 1970 powwow between Presley (Bana) and Nixon (Huston) when the former petitioned to be a Federal Agent at Large in the war against drugs, which in hindsight seems a bit odd. Presley brought a Colt .45 pistol as a gift to the president. Bana will be exec producer. He’ll next star in the Lakeshore thriller Brilliant and just wrapped Blackbird. »

Eric Bana Will Be Elvis

He came bearing several gifts for the president, including a gun and family photos. With Bana co-producing via his Pick Up Truck Pictures company and financing from Wettest County In The World producer Michael Benaroya, Elwes aims to start shooting as soon as everything is in place in La and Shreveport. »

Rome, Sweet Rome: Warner Bros. to Make Feature Film from Reddit Thread

17 October 2011 3:00 PM, PDT | ScifiMafia | See recent ScifiMafia news »

If you want to be a screenwriter, you may want to start posing interesting hypothetical questions on Reddit. Questions like “Could I destroy the entire Roman Empire during the reign of Augustus if I traveled back in time with a modern U.S. Marine infantry battalion or Meu?”

That’s just what author and two-time Jeopardy! champion, James Erwin asked and once then the posting reached the top of Reddit, it was seen by Madhouse Entertainment’s Adam Kolbrenner. Kolbrenner then contacted Erwin and began working with him to develop the concept.

Now, Variety reports that Madhouse Entertainment‘s Kolbrenner brought the project which “will follow the Marines as they’re flung into the past where they encounter one of the world’s most legendary villains and disrupt history. To return home, they have to set history back on the track they altered.” to Chris Gary at Warner Bros., who »

Eric Bana May Star In Robert Luketic Heist Film Brilliant

27 September 2011 12:30 AM, PDT | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

What ever happened to Eric Bana? It was only a few years ago that the Australian actor made a name for himself as one of the stronger male leads in Hollywood, but since making four films in 2009 he has only done one other project: Joe Wright's Hanna. Fortunately it looks like the drought may be over soon. In addition to the Stefan Ruzowitzky thriller Blackbird, which is due out in 2012, Bana is also attached to the Sheldon Turner revenge tale By Virtue Fall, and has now looks to add a heist film to his list of upcoming projects. Variety reports that Bana is now in talks to star in Brilliant, the new movie from director Robert Luketic. Based on a script by Gillian Gorfil, the project is about a young criminal who teams up with a elite gang of thieves to pull off the biggest diamond heist of all time. »

Olivia Wilde Will Survive 'The Longest Week'

9 September 2011 11:49 PM, PDT | NextMovie | See recent NextMovie news »

Olivia Wilde is already doing about a hundred movies, so what's one more, really?

The ever-increasingly busy "Cowboys & Aliens" beauty has added the indie romantic comedy, "The Longest Week," to her now rather long "To Do" list, according to Variety.

"The Longest Week" follows the misadventures of Conrad Valmont, an aimless young man who lives a life of leisure in his parents' prestigious Manhattan hotel. However, in the span of one week, he finds himself evicted, disinherited and in love (with Olivia, we're assuming -- so, really, it's not all bad, right, Conrad?).

The film marks the feature directorial debut of Peter Glanz, who is basing it on his black-and-white short, "A Relationship in Four Days," which screened at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.

It's unknown as to when Olivia Wilde will be squeezing this one in amongst all of her other upcoming projects, which include -- with various degrees of confirmation -- "Lovelace, »

Olivia Wilde's big year

25 July 2011 9:00 AM, PDT | Cineplex | See recent Cineplex news »

After dreaming of being a movie star nearly all her life, Olivia Wilde finally is one. Which, combined with her place in the top one percent of the world’s most photogenic people, gives her a bit of experience with the paparazzi. And she says ours are absolutely the best — when it comes to recommendations about hot beverages, anyway.

"A paparazzo today gave me advice on where to get a coffee,” chirps Wilde on the set of Blackbird, a thriller shooting in Iberville, Quebec, about 45 minutes southeast of Montreal. 'She's all, 'I notice that you like this place, but I was thinking that because you like it so much you’d probably like this other place. Go around the corner, go left.' I was like, 'Gosh, thank you. They don't make them like you in L.A.'"

EW‘s latest “First Look” feature comes with three new looks at two intriguing, upcoming movies. The first is for Aaron Eckhart’s “The Expatriate”, one of those “Taken”-esque movies about a former CIA badass who must return to his old ways in order to save someone he loves. In this case, Eckhart is running around Europe with a daughter and kicking European ass and taking names. “Trust’s” Liana Liberato plays the daughter, and “Hitman’s” Olga Kurylenko co-stars. Eric Bana, Charlie Hunnam, and Olivia Wilde co-star in the gritty drama “Blackbird”. In the flick, Bana and Wilde play a brother-and-sister team of thieves who get lost in the woods of northern Michigan after a violent heist gone wrong. 'Against the Wall': Treat Williams comes full circle as on-screen cop

1 July 2011 12:27 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

Treat Williams has the police on his mind a lot these days.

The "Everwood" veteran returns to series work in Lifetime's "Against the Wall," premiering Sunday, July 31. He plays the patriarch of a Chicago family of cops, and he's also about to revisit one of his career milestones: the true, police-corruption-themed 1981 drama "Prince of the City." Williams will participate in a screening of the movie Sunday, July 24, as part of a tribute to the late director Sidney Lumet at New York's Lincoln Center.

"Against the Wall" revolves around a police detective (Australian-born Rachael Carpani) whose new job as an Internal Affairs investigator doesn't please her longtime-cop father (Williams). Her mother ("Picket Fences" Emmy winner Kathy Baker) tries to keep peace within the family, which also includes a trio of policeman sons.

Olivia Wilde Joins Bradley Cooper in 'The Words'

'Tron: Legacy' hottie Olivia Wilde is joining the dramatic thriller 'The Words,' starring Bradley Cooper. The two, by the way, just happen to be dating in real life, or so the celeb buzz has it. They won't have any scenes together, however. (Sorry, paparazzi).

The film is about a successful writer who learns he has a high price to pay for stealing another man's work. Wilde will play a character who's "key" to what unfolds next.

Ben Barnes ('The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian'), John Hannah ('The Mummy'), J.K. Simmons ('Juno') and French actress Nora Arnezeder ('Safe House') have also signed onto the cast, which includes Jeremy Irons, Zoe Saldana and Dennis Quaid.

'Tron: Legacy' writers Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal will make their directorial debut with the film. Their script appeared »

Olivia Wilde Will Find 'The Words'

2 June 2011 10:00 PM, PDT | NextMovie | See recent NextMovie news »

Plagiarism can be dangerous business. And Olivia Wilde is a dangerous gal.

The "Tron: Legacy" beauty's star continues to rise as she joins the cast of "The Words," a dark thriller starring Bradley Cooper (who's fast becoming one of the busiest men in Hollywood), according to Variety.

"The Words" features Cooper as a writer who, at the peak of his literary success, discovers the price he must pay for stealing another man's work.

Zoe Saldana, J.K. Simmons, John Hannah and Ben Barnes have also recently joined the cast, which also includes Dennis Quaid and Jeremy Irons. Quite the impressive ensemble!

"The Words" reunites Olivia Wilde with "Tron: Legacy" scribes Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal, who are also making their directorial debut with the pic (we wonder if they had Olivia in mind for a role when they were writing it? Nah...).

Like her co-star Cooper, Wilde has quite the full plate over the next year. »
