Heavily disappointing episode of Raw here, aside from the RKO spot.
20 July 2010 | by (victoria b.c canada) – See all my reviews

John Cena is out to start the show. He thanks the wrestlers for the helping hand, but says something was missing. A pale kid with Red Hair. He says one of these days Sheamus is going to realize that against The Nexus, they're all in this together. Cena plans on ripping his face up and switching it up with his butt|Typical P.G crap| He says Sheamus is a two-time WWE Champion. Once because he fell through a table by accident, and the other because of Nexus. He says he will take Nexus out, even if he has to do it by himself. Wade tells Cena not to worry. He could easily beat Cena up, but it would be too easy. Nexus gets to do whatever they want with a clear conscience, because Cena brought this on himself. Cole informs us that if any superstar gets involved, they will be suspended for 90 days. Nexus must tag in and out, and if they don't abide by that rule, they will be suspended as well. Average segment here. Cena wasn't anywhere near his best here, and it felt like the same thing of past week's.

2/5

Lovely. Eve Torres is here for commentary.

Alicia Fox Vs Gail Kim. It's truly sad, that WWE wastes such a fine talent like Gail. Alicia wins.

0/5

The Hart Dynasty and Natalya Vs The Uso's and Tamina. Very unmemorable stuff, quite disappointing too. Uso's are just much to bland, though it's great to see Natalya wrestle.

1 1/2 /5

Wade Barrett thanks Jericho backstage, while Jericho ignores Josh's request for an interview. Nexus beats up Yoshi Tatsu, because he said he was Cena's friend. Yawn, next.

0/5

Ted is out with the lovely Maryse. He says they are the most powerful couple in the WWE. Ted tells Maryse to imagine when he wins Money In The Bank. He'll shower her with gifts, and the ultimate gift will be the WWE Championship. Morrison tells Ted to hold on, and everyone knows the French don't take showers. Maryse speaks in French. Morrison tells everyone that Maryse said everyone in the arena has hippopotamus breath, and that she resembles a platypus. Dibiase attacks Morrison for his remarks, but Morrison reverses Dream Street with Gamengiri, but Maryse pulls Ted out. Morrison tries too hard sometimes to be funny, and this segment ended up being disappointing.

2/5

I'm not gonna bother recapping the Brady Bunch segment. Florence Henderson didn't amount to anything, and the only noteworthy thing to say here is Doink The Clown made an appearance.

0/5

Edge Vs Randy Orton. A solid match no doubt, but not what the two are capable of by a long shot. It started off a bit too slowly, but really picked up near the end. Jericho comes out and distracts Orton, making Edge pick up the victory. Jericho nails a Code Breaker on Edge, RKO To Jericho!. Bourne runs in and spin kicks Orton, and goes up top for Air Bourne. AIR....BOUR..NO! RKO! IN MID AIR!. One of the most unreal spots I have ever seen in all my years of watching Wrestling. The crowd went nuts for it!. Incredible stuff!.

4/5

Skip Sheffield and the rest of Nexus attack Morrison in the back.

The Miz is out and brags about taking out R-Truth. He said he didn't need a ladder to take out Truth, he did it with his bare hands. He says 1 down, 6 to go. Cole informs us that the GM has found a replacement for Truth, and it's Mark Henry. Terrible, terrible choice.

The Miz Vs Mark Henry. Not even a match so to speak, just a way to get Miz over more and decimate Henry.

0/5

The Regal Bunch. William Regal, Zack Ryder, Primo and Doink The Clown. Vs The Santino Bunch. Santino Marella, Goldust, Vladimir Kozlov and The Great Khali. Is this honestly worth recapping?..Didn't think so.

0/5

Edge tells Josh he wants to thank Jericho for the wake up call. Tonight he exemplified what the MITB ladder match is. He has 7 other opponents, and you must have eyes in the back of your head. Edge says he's been in more MITB matches, and won more than anyone else. He says he has a voice that reminds him to be ruthless, void of compassion. It reminds him that he has no morals or rules. He is the Ultimate Oppertunist and he loves destroying the lives of people. Great stuff from Edge, show's he's still capable of delivering top-notch promo's

3 1/2 /5

Evan Bourne has ice on the back of his head, before being taunted by Sheamus.Wade viciously slams Bourne's head on the back off the table very hard and realistically, while Sheamus runs off like a coward yelling for Cena. I liked the aggression from Barrett, but Sheamus running off makes him look like a weak champion. Classic case of inconsistent booking here.

2 1/2 /5

6 on 1 Handicap Match.

The Nexus Vs John Cena. Rather average and boring in my opinion, Cena didn't get much offense in until after the match. It furthered the storyline, but they better freshen up things, because i'm getting bored quickly.

2/5

Bottom line. Aside from the RKO spot, and a couple of decent things, this is typical lazy WWE garbage.
