"I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream"

Sleeping Beauty is my third favourite Disney film after Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King, and coming from someone who loves the Disney sing along series and has done since childhood I loved Once Upon a Dream. The song of which this video takes its name from is one of Disney's most romantic and beautiful, with poetic lyrics and the melody outstanding, well it was from Tchaikovsky's timeless ballet score after all. The animation is luscious and smooth, with the stylised look of Once Upon a Dream and the bright atmospheric colours of A Whole New World especially impressive, the vocal talent of the likes of Jodi Benson and Angela Lansbury still enthralls and the music with only Put it Together lacking(then again I never did like the songs or the film) is wonderful. Other than Once Upon a Dream, Colours of the Wind with how it makes connect with nature and the earth, the heartfelt Part of Your World, the magnificent Beauty and the Beast title number capping it with the ultimate dance scene in the ballroom scene which is still one of Disney's jaw dropping moments and the inspiring A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes are the standouts. Though If You Can Dream is a very welcome and nice addition. Overall, I liked this one very much. 10/10 Bethany Cox
