The return of McNair and Tom
13 February 2011 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

This episode sees the return of father and son werewolves McNair and Tom; the meat up with George and Nina who are seeking information about werewolf pregnancies. McNair claims that there is nothing to worry about but Nina isn't sure he is telling the truth. After Tom is hurt by Mitchell Nina takes him to the hospital where she learns the real facts about how he became a werewolf so realises she is none the wiser about her pregnancy. Mitchell meanwhile is getting involved with Annie although their attempts at intimacy don't go to well. As McNair starts to become a threat to Mitchell he tips off the other vampires about his location hoping they will take him for one of their dog fights; unfortunately they take George, Nina and Tom instead so Mitchell and McNair must come together to rescuer them.

This was another good episode which spent most of its run time investigating how Nina and her baby will cope when the full moon comes and how Mitchell and Annie and have something close to a normal relationship. As well as the regular cast, who were excellent as always, Robson Green and Michael Socha were good in the roles of McNair and his son Tom.
