The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Some passionate kissing and teenage sex(No nudity shown) In the first episode, the show's star loses her virginity to a popular boy she barely knows. This occurs in the utility closet at summer camp in the summer between her freshman and sophomore years. There is no nudity shown, but there is extended thrusting and obvious male orgasm both in this first episode, and in nearly all of the episodes that I watched (first 5 maybe). The two have sex all over the place - cars, sheds, always quite graphic, and he does not acknowledge her in public because she is not part of the in crowd. In other scenes, the guidance counselor makes extended references to oral sex and spitting versus swallowing, and another student who has signed a virginity pledge offers a boy her 'behymen' (anal sex) as an alternative.

Violence & Gore

None.

Profanity

Some "fuck","bitch","crap" and other profanities like this.

Yes,some drinking and smoking, but nothing more. In one episode (scarlet eye), the parents send their 15 year old sophomore daughter to a party with a large bag full of beer for the kids and vodka for the parents. The parents and two girls review the rules: liquor before beer, have no fear, beer before liquor, never sicker. In the bonfire episode, the parents smoke weed in the car while waiting to drive their daughter home. They drive home while high at 'about 15 miles per hour' while wildly consuming nachos.
