Storyline
"Awkward" is about the specific incidents in our formative years that define us -sometimes for the best and sometimes for the worst. The show centers around fifteen-year-old Jenna Hamilton, who, like many, feels invisible to her peers and desperately wants to find her place--which is hard to do in a day and age where fitting in means standing out. Unfortunately, Jenna's visibility comes on the heels of an accident that gives her a not-so-fun stigma. And while the stigma of her accident could be the curse of her life, Jenna's determined to make it her life's blessing. Written by

Trivia
The high school on the show is called "Palos Hills High School" (Home of the Titans, colors are blue/gold). Until 1991, there were 3 high schools in Palos Verdes - Miraleste High School (Home of the Marauders, colors were maroon/gold), Palos Verdes High School (Home of the Sea Kings, colors were black/red) and Rolling Hills High School (Home of the Titans, colors were blue/gold). Due to district closures, the 3 high schools were consolidated into one high school, located on the Rolling Hills High School campus. The new school was renamed Palos Verdes Peninsula High School (home of the Panthers, colors are black/gold). In 2002, climbing enrollments and overcrowding at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School led the district to reopen Palos Verdes High School. The show uses the mascot (Titans) and colors (Blue/Gold) of the former Rolling Hills High School.

I love this show and these kind of shows are under valued and always seem to be taken off the air before people can form a proper opinion about them. I really hope they don't do that with this show because it is probably one of the only decent shows on TV at the moment, everything that shows some form of promise seems to be thrown out for more and more idiotic reality TV shows that show no more reality than a pig on skates.
This TV show actually shows the problems that can happen to teenagers nowadays instead of dramatizing unlikely events for the sake of ratings.
I highly recommend 'Awkward', definitely shouldn't be missed.
