Sgt. Anthony Renzulli (as Nick Turturro)
Maria Romano (as Chanel Farrell)

Harvard Law School graduate Jamie Reagan's family, patriarch grandfather Henry's cop dynasty, proudly attends his graduation from the New York police academy, presided over by his father, chief commissioner Frank Reagan. Jamie's brother, Iraq veteran Danny Reagan, cleverly makes the best of his sole clue, a prototype doll, to find and liberate kidnapped Latino girl Teresa Campos. Alas, Danny blatantly breaks procedure, violating prime suspect Donald Banse's rights. A conviction thus seems impossible to obtain for sister Erin, in the D.A.'s office, unless new, non-poisoned evidence can be obtained. Jamie is approached by FBI agents to succeed his late brother as secret informer on the Blue Templars, a legendary NYPD vigilante order. Written by KGF Vissers

Did You Know?

The scene where Danny obtains information on the kidnapped little girl by sticking the suspect's head in the toilet was recycled from the 2006 episode Law & Order: Thinking Makes It So (2006). Dennis Farina of Law & Order who played NYPD Detective Joe Fontana used the same method to locate a kidnapped little girl. See more »

When Danny & King are at the abduction site, there is a shot of them talking and King's tie is blowing far over his shoulder. In the next shot, it is perfectly placed back where it should be. The time frame between both shots is so short that there is no way King could have fixed his tie. See more »

Danny Reagan: Mom's probably spinning in her grave, you quitting the law and becoming a cop and all.

Thank you Mr. Sellek

What a cast!!! As soon as I saw a preview with Tom Selleck in it. I knew I'd be watching this pilot. And this one didn't disappoint. Tom really adds something to this otherwise fine cast. Thank goodness they didn't have to shift the locations to Toronto. There was talk of that when the tax credit law there expired. This show has a really good look to it. Very much like a movie. And the writing for the pilot was first rate. And the casting for the whole Reagan family is first rate besides Mr. Sellek as Frank Reagan, we have Donnie Wahlberg as Detective Danny Reagan, and Len Cariou as the patriarch of the family Henry Reagan. As for this episode this story was well written and moved along well. And while there are only a few ways a story like this can turn out, the thing that makes a good story is how the actors and writers get us to end. And this is a very enjoyable story. Wahlberg and Selleck stand out. But they are well supported. We have no way of knowing what his influence was on this project; but the effect Tom Sellek has had a numerous projects high quality projects in the past
