One of the best Smack Down episodes I've seen in ages!
Teddy Long is with Vickie backstage. Teddy informs us that there was three new champions crowned at Fatal Four Way, including Rey Mysterio. Teddy says Rey will defend his newly won World Championship at a new PPV concept, Money In The Bank. Vickie says they will be evaluating superstars to see which ones will compete in Money In The Bank. Vickie reminds us that Vince is not here at the moment, and that nexus rendered him incapacitated. Drew interrupts and asks Teddy why he's smiling. Drew reminds him of what happened on Smack Down. Long explains that due to the absence of Vince, the Board of Directors put him in complete control. He reinstates Matt Hardy, and books him in a match against Matt, and demands for him to get out of his office, while Vickie seconds that order. Pretty effective segment here, it's intriguing.
The Big Show Vs Jack Swagger. Jack complains about the outcome of Fatal Four Way, claiming he's been cheated and that his Daddy taught him cheaters never win, and winners never cheat. Surprisingly a good little match here, both have good chemistry with one-another. Big Show wins by DQ, when Swagger doesn't break by 5 and keeps the ankle lock on Show and looked bad ass as a result, Show soled it well.
Curt Hawkins, Vance Archer and Dolph Ziggler Vs Christian, MVP and Kofi Kingston. I thought this was a very underrated 6 man tag, with many exciting spots, and I enjoyed every minute of it. The faces win, when Christian hits the Killswitch.
3 1/2 /5
Drew McIntyre Vs Matt Hardy. Wouldn't you know it? I hate both of these guys, and they go and deliver an excellent bout that had me on the edge of my seat. I liked the mind games and the brutality from both, they looked very motivated. Matt gets retribution and wins with The Twist Of Fate. Teddy Long comes out and informs Drew he is off Smackdown indefinitely because his visa's expired, while security escorts him out.

Cody Rhodes is out, seemingly with a narcissist type gimmick. Cody brags on and on about being voted the sexiest male superstar by the diva's and makes fun of Husky for his gut. Cody goes on about his looks and even insults a bit of the crowd. This was painful to watch, and the crowd crapped all over it. The constant saying of "Dashing" was amusing though.

Dolph is backstage with Vickie and he tells her a relationship is a two-way street. He says he wants something in return, an Intercontinental Championship opportunity. Vickie contemplates on what Dolph has said. This is getting old already
Rosa Mendes Vs Kelly Kelly. Laycool provides the commentary and rips all over both of the divas. Kelly wins with the K2 in a remarkably short fashion. Kelly is to bland for this.
Alberto Del Rio cuts a promo. He isn't bad, but I need to see a little more work on his personality.
No Disqualification Match.
CM Punk Vs Kane. The match itself was an effective and brutal brawl, but the end is without a doubt one of the most intense things I've seen a while. Kane absolutely demolishes Punk, and looked like just that, a Big Red Monster, and Punk played the cowardly heel perfectly!. Punk is one of the best things in WWE period at the moment, and Kane is deservedly getting a push.
Bottom line. It's not perfect, but the good far outweighs the bad here. It's been quite a while since I've been excited after I've watched a Smack Down episode.
