With the National TV Awards being really popular, they decided to do the same in Britain, going against the big occasions like the Oscars, BAFTAs and Golden Globes, but still trying to look entertaining and glamorous. Hosted by Alexander Armstrong, this was the first ever awards ceremony attended by many great film stars, directors and other crew to celebrate the year of films, but every single award is voted for by the public, so I knew which ones I wanted to win. The awards included Best Action/Adventure film, Best Animation film, Best Family film, Best Male Performance, Best Female Performance, as well as a Special Recognition award for the James Bond 007 films and their makers. Very good!
