Sex & Nudity

  • No nudity or sex in Transformers Prime.
  • In season 3, during two humans being captured, a Decepticon ask how long they have been dating, causing their behavior two each other. He also says he finds human sex disgusting. He uses the word "interfacing".
  • Some questionable moments between Starscream and Knockout.
  • While Knockout act's in a gay way, it look's like Starscream is wearing stilettos and he have very slim, curved legs.

Violence & Gore

  • Frequent use of brutal violence involving robot characters. Robots "bleed" a blueish-purple liquid, later stated to be Energon, their "fuel and lifeblood". The human characters are put into considerable danger many times, but almost always through their own mistakes. Explosions occur frequently.
  • Brutal scenes of warfare and robot carnage accompany many flashbacks to the war on the Autobot home planet of Cybertron.

Profanity

  • Profanity allegories such as "scrap" are used throughout the series. Bulkhead at least once mentions somebody having "big bearings".

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • The first action scene in the show involves Cliffjumper being caught in a large explosion. He is brought before Starscream, who stabs his hand into the injured Autobot's chest. Energon "bleeds" onto the floor, and Cliffjumper falls to the ground lifelessly.
  • Silas, a villainous human character, is crushed and nearly killed underneath some wreckage. He is hooked up to the salvaged remains of Decepticon Breakdown, and shots of his face show it to be stitched together. He dies on-screen during season 3.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • An episode features Ratchet becoming addicted to synthetic Energon, which has the same effects that steroids have on humans. Said synthetic Energon is also pumped into the body via syringe, or at least the Cybertronian equivalent of it.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Characters such as Megatron and Unicron can give children nightmares.
