With the National TV Awards being really popular, they decided to do the same in Britain, going against the big occasions like the Oscars, BAFTAs and Golden Globes, but still trying to look entertaining and glamorous. Hosted by James Nesbitt, this was the third awards ceremony (the year before they took a break) attended by many great film stars, directors and other crew to celebrate the year of films, but every single award is voted for by the public, so I knew which ones I wanted to win. The awards included Best Action/Adventure film, Best Family film, Best Fantasy film, Vue Most Anticipated Summer Movie, Breakthrough Movie, Best Performance, as well as a Special Recognition award for the Harry Potter films, and the Screen Icon Award for Tom Cruise. With appearances from (whether in the audience or coming on stage), Alan Carr, James Corden, Dexter Fletcher, Martin Freeman, George Lamb, Jonathan Ross and Michelle Ryan. Very good!
