Wow. I am almost at a loss for words to express the level of atrociousness the SVU people achieved with this episode. Truly breathtaking. I just finished watching it and am racking my brain for some hint of irony that might suggest an unorthodox joke on the viewer. It's tough to believe that a show with such a long-successful formula could blunder this stunningly. The writing. Classic, classic stuff. You couldn't have sneaked this script past the producers of All My Children or any of our finest purveyors of melodramatic hilarity. And the acting. Was that really Sharon Stone? Like, the Sharon Stone from "Casino?" A list of actors that could play a more convincing district attorney than Sharon Stone: Daniel Day Lewis' hoop earring, Charles Barkley, Dr. Teeth from the Muppets, a Twizzler. Just a stunning display all-around. I highly recommend taking it all in. I laughed through almost the entire thing. If I collected DVDs, I would buy this episode and display it prominently between my copies of "Red Dawn" and "Over the Top."
