Some solid story lines developing, but it hasn't quite hit it's rhythm yet,
We are already joined in progress where Edge is kicking and beating away at Evan Bourne. Cole informs us that Edge was going to address the crowd but Bourne interrupted saying he wanted to make a name for himself. Edge continues beating away on him, until Bourne makes a brief comeback before getting speared by Edge. An out of breath Edge claims no matter how many times he proves his dominance, people like Evan Bourne disrespect him, and people like the fans too. At Fatal Four Way, that all changes because he's nothing like his opponents. He says John Cena is a superhero, the strongest man in the industry. Sheamus will bulldoze anyone who gets in his way, which brings him to Randy Orton "The Viper". The snake in the grass, lying there waiting to pounce and stick his fangs right into you. And the fans love it right, "RKO, RKO" . He says the fans are just a bunch of sheep who jumped into the snake pit, and don't be surprised when The Viper bites you. Edge says he will prove all the people wrong, due to the constant disrespect over the years and that he's a 10 time WWE Champ, and The Viper is out to a huge pop. Edge says he knows what Randy wants to do, coil up and drop him, but they both know that's not gonna happen, RKO!. Randy does his signature pose to a huge pop. Very effective segment here, Orton and Edge are doing great work.
Ashton Kutcher is in the back as Eve hugs him. Ashton says Zack is talking smack on twitter to him. Eve basically acts all dumb and clueless to the events, while Ashton complains. Miz asks what Ashton wants, and says that Bret has set up a 1 on 1 match against Daniel Bryan. Miz scoffs and doesn't act impressed. Not much to really recap here, I don't like Eve and the whole segment sucked.
R-Truth Vs Chris Jericho. Solid match right here, Jericho can make anyone look good.
Zack Ryder is in the back and says he's gonna get to the bottom of this situation . Hart Dynasty walks up to Brett and asks who the people were who attacked them. Bret says they were the Uso's and they signed them, but he had no idea they would do what they did. Bret says they are trying to make a statement at their expense, and asks what he Hart Dynasty is gonna do about it. Bret isn't using favoritism, so far, so good.
Mixed Tag Match.
Santino Marella&Eve Vs William Regal&Maryse. Utter crap, Regal is floundering in the mid card, and Santino is merely a comical presence. Crowd is way into Santino, and the faces win when Kozlov turns face|Or seemingly| and attacks Regal while Maryse leaves with him. Made no sense what so ever and it was pointless.
Bret Hart comes out and says he's been general manager for a bout a week now, and he's been having so much fun, you wouldn't believe it. He got together with Teddy Long .He says all the superstars of Raw and Smackdown are gonna be in one roof, and it's gonna be a three-hour special for all the fun and games. If the fans have good ideas let's hear them, and that goes for the guys in the back and that brings out Ted Dibiase. Ted tells Bret to give him complete control of the show next week, and he's willing and able to pay him and Teddy whatever it takes next week. Ted says he isn't worried about Teddy, but he's worried about Bret, because Bret thinks he's above everything. Ted says Bret came back to the WWE, because he needed money and to name his price. Ashton Kutcher proposes a viewer's choice scenario and Bret agrees and here comes...VINCE to a huge ovation. Vince asks the crowd to hear it for Vince McMahon, and tells Bret he looks 10 years older. Vince says he feels better, though he didn't feel too good when he was hit by a chair 18 times at Wrestlemania. Vince asks Bret if he got everything out of his system, while Bret responds with a simple "Most of it" Loud "you tapped out" chant. Vince asks if Bret wonders why he allowed him to become GM, because of a nefarious plot or is Vince just a vengeful person, to keep his enemies closer or maybe because the people wanted it?. Vince says Bret has to treat the people like children, and he means that in the most complimentary way. Vince asks if he's ready for the fans to start booing Bret out of the building, while Bret says he's ready for anything. Solid, but kind of redundant, I really hope they don't go this route again.
2 1/2 /5
Zack Ryder is in the back asking Randy Orton if he's the one who's gonna take him out. Orton says if he was the one, they wouldn't be having this conversation, before Randy goes down clutching his shoulder in pain and it's revealed Edge is behind the act. Simple but great stuff here!.
3 1/2 /5
The Miz Vs Daniel Bryan. Average but for the time it got, it was pretty decent. These two are capable of more and the storyline between Cole and Bryan is very intriguing.
The Uso's cut a horrible promo on The Hart Dynasty, that I'm not gonna bother to recap, but The Hart Dynasty attacks before getting pummeled once more.
Not gonna review the hit-man segment, sorry.
Edge and Sheamus talk strategy in the back.
Edge&Sheamus Vs Evan Bourne&John Cena. Great stuff here, awesome to see Evan get a push.
Bottom line. Better than most episodes as of late.
